We're hiring now for Machine Operator in Colorado Springs, COWhat we offerWeekly pay of $19.00 per hourDirect deposit & debit card payment optionsHealth, vision, dental, life, and disability insuranceGet weekends offOvertime availableTraining providedBackground friendlyWeekly PayMachine Operator Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)Carry out production, inspection, packaging and machine operation dutiesRead, analyze, and follow blueprints and sketch designs (including computer-aided design (CAD) and/or computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) files)Set-up, calibrate, maintain, and repair machinery and machine tools as neededAlign and place tools, cutters, guides, and stops correctly in the machineEnsure machine parts are made to correct specifications by reading design manuals, blueprints, sketches, etc.Operate manual machinery and oversee automated machinesRun test products to ensure quality and accuracy of production meets the set standardPlace and secure mobile fixtures and materials onto machineOversee machines, belts, any moving pieces, etc. during the production process and adjust speed and/or movements as neededObserve and monitor input/output, accuracy, and efficiency of the machineFinish pieces by grinding, smoothing or shaping as necessaryKeep a daily activity log of production notes (including totals, defects, etc.)Follow state health and safety regulations by wearing required equipment and protection as neededPresent finished pieces to management for review or customers for purchaseDispose of and/or recycle any waste in line with company and state environmental policyDescription:What Qualities does the best Candidate have?

• Flexibility = Get in where you fit in. We need the kind of person that does what best for the company/customer. Not the individual---. willingness to put in extra hours. Go getter (Self-starter) ---.Someone willing to put in the extra time to be better and satisfy/meet customer needs. Experienced operator used MAZAK laser (3 weeks) training. Less focus on laser use and more on operations/paperwork.
• What Qualities does the average candidate have? Show up on time and minimum 40 hrs. Trainable (8 weeks to be running machine) some experience with other lasers
• What are the expectations of the first day? No safety incidents. Show up ready to learn Show up on time.
• What are the things that will disqualify a candidate from being considered? Lack of transparency.
• How will performance be measured? Depending on experience/resume---.we will gauge if the experience/resume matches. From there we create a training plan and Clear expectations that is shared with the new hire based on what we had observed (Observation period about a week). Also, giving daily feedback on how things are going. And providing an avenue for open communication between new hire, trainer, and management. Documenting these interactions as we go along.
• Physical Requirements? Be able to lift 50 lbs. Stand up for the majority of the shift (8 hrs.)
• Working Environment? Industrial shop--- (Back shop)
