Job OverviewRole SummaryRaytheon is seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer to join our team of experts in developing next-generation ground system software. As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for cutting-edge satellite ground systems.Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for satellite ground systems using Java and other relevant technologies.
• Work collaboratively with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
• Develop and maintain software using modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest software technologies and techniques, including multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design.Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Experience developing object-oriented software using Java.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance.Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with C++ and Python programming.
    • Knowledge of multi-threaded programming.
    • Experience with microservices in cloud environments.
    • Experience working within LINUX/UNIX operating systems.
