Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity to join Amazon's world class
Non-Relational and Emerging Database focused technical team in
Denver, CO. You will be working with some of the best and brightest
engineers and technical managers while also developing your skills
and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and
progressive technology companies anywhere. A successful manager
joining the team will do much more than run sprints and send
emails. You will work with Amazon's largest and most demanding
customers to address specific needs across a full suite of
services. You will lead your team in diving deep into technical
issues and work diligently to drive innovation that improves the
customer experience. By working together on behalf of our
customers, we are building the future one innovative product,
service, and idea at a time. We are seeking a highly motivated
hands-on manager who is focused on building their team and
delighting their customers. You will need to define your team's
vision, motivate them to innovate and deliver results, and manage
your roadmap and stakeholders. You will be expected to not just
"complete the next deliverable", but think big about how to improve
the things your team is responsible for. This position requires
that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an
active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires
that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an
active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate
clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS

About the team
We work normal business hours Monday through Friday at the downtown
Denver office. We spend most of our time building and operating AWS
database services for external customers. We focus on operational
excellence and are always looking for new ways to be a better team.

QUALIFICATIONS - Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global
Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security
Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
- 5+ years experience leading an engineering or operations team
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or
above
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Success delivering products/services in
a high-growth environment, exhibiting strong ability to identify
and solve ambiguous customer-focused problems
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard
data and metrics to back up assumptions and perceptions
- High attention to detail with proven ability to juggle multiple,
conflicting priorities simultaneously and make things happen in a
fast-paced, dynamic environment
- You have a track record of delivering technical projects in a
highly technical multi-team environment
- Excellent written, spoken, and listening communication skills
- Experience with System Design and Integration
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with support procedures and methodologies for
production computing environments

position ranges from $142,100/year in our lowest geographic market
up to $245,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based
