Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and sits on 25 acres of
land . The 4-Star Full Service property is nestled in the lush
greens of Southern Colorado Springs and oversees Impressive
mountain views, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming,
and tennis . These allow for the unique experience that you can
only get at this resort.
Hourly Rate : $18.50 per hour
Position Overview: The Housekeeping Supervisor is an entry-level
leadership position in the department and can be ideal for someone
with the desire to grow into management. Responsibilities will
include but are not limited to: creating and distributing daily
tasks to the team, training and coaching, payroll, scheduling,
reviewing guest surveys and other metrics, inventory, working with
guests on lost and found items, and verifying completion of work at
the end of the day. This person will have daily items to complete
as well as projects and will follow up on needs of the Housekeeping
team. The Supervisor must have the flexibility to work mornings,
afternoons, and evenings, any day of the week including on weekends
and holidays.
Job Functions & Responsibilities :
- Inspects Guest rooms, guest areas, employee areas, and assess
compliance with all established standards as they relate to
cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities
include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning,
assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding
and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and
draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety
of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal
with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Assist Executive Housekeeper with the scheduling of staff
according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
- Assist in implementing departmental objectives, budgets,
policies, procedures and strategies
- Assist in training and supervising Housekeeping staff
- Inspect all guest rooms and ensure each passes Bunkhouse
standards
- Implement standards and procedures to consistently conduct an
accurate inventory
- Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding
lodging facilities
- Ensure open lines of communication with staff, all departments
and upper management at all times via email, logbooks, meetings,
etc., to ensure all needs of the hotel are met
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work
area
- Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures,
manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working
condition
- Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the
property
- Keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA
requirements
- Attend relevant meetings
Qualifications:
****Bilingual Preferred (Spanish & English)***
- Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service
industry
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED). College
Degree preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak the primary language(s) of the workplace
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers and
sister property staff
- Ability to create documents in Excel and Word
- Ability to understand other computer programs (i.e. Property
Management System)
- Ability to apply concepts of math including addition,
subtraction, multiplication, division and algebra, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals
